Personal Use
Personal use is defined as the following:
- The website is not owned wholly or in part by a corporate entity.
- No direct income is associated with the website.
- The website does not display ads for which any compensation is awarded.
- The website does not sell products and/or services nor does it promote the activities or financial gains of a business.
Provided the desired application meets these requirements the software may be used free of charge by adhering to the following conditions:
Individuals are permitted to use this software free of charge on as many personal websites as desired. Individuals may extend, modify, or integrate the codebase as desired but must maintain the software’s copyright notice unaltered and in its entirety. All themes, whether created by the end-user or the software author, must display the software’s copyright notice. Sale or redistribution, whether in an altered or unaltered form, is strictly forbidden. All rights to distribution remain with the original author.
Nonpersonal Use
Nonpersonal use is defined as the following:
- Any website is owned wholly or in part by a corporate entity.
- Any website that is connected with direct income.
- The website displays ads for which compensation is awarded.
- The website sells products and/or services or it promote the activities or financial gains of a business.
Provided the desired application meets these requirements a Premium Edition license is required. With the purchase of a Premium Edition license the software may be used by adhering to the following conditions:
The Premium Edition permits use of as many instances of the software as desired on a single website under a single domain name. Use on additional domains, whether owned wholly or in part by the original licensee requires the purchase of additional Premium Edition licenses for each domain. Premium Edition licensees bear the right to extend, modify, integrate, or otherwise alter the codebase in anyway necessary for desired implementations. There is no requirement to include the software’s copyright notice. By default the copyright notice is not displayed on the Premium Edition. Sale or redistribution, whether in an altered or unaltered form, is strictly forbidden. All rights to distribution remain with the original author.
Educational Use
Educational use is defined as the following:
- The software will be used by an officially accredited institution of learning as a teaching aid.
Provided the desired application meets these requirements the software may be used free of charge by adhering to the following conditions:
Educational use is permitted with written permission from the software’s author. Terms of use are determined on a case by case basis. Distribution allowances are determined on a case by case basis. Please contact the author for permission to use this software in an educational setting.
Use not directly addressed in this document require the purchase of a Premium Edition license and are subject to the conditions outlined in the section labeled “Nonpersonal Use”.
