Tomorrow morning myself and my buddy mike are going to partake in the NYC TD Bank Five Borough Bike Tour for the first time. We will be among the 30,000 other participants in the anual event. We spent most of today getting ready for the tour including a last minute wheel swap on Mike’s bike because of a bent axle (why wouldn’t we address this sooner? Well the truth is he never noticed it until today). We have some energy bars, water bottles, gatorade, GPS (oh so dorky but speed/mileage stats are always fun), and some repair tools/supplies. Hopefully we are all set. So long as mother nature keeps up her end of the bargain it should be a nice day. Just to try and ward off the rain gods we packed the obligatory poncho. Let me tell you – this is the finest disposable poncho you can buy for under $2 and its guaranteed to make it look as though we are staying dry while actually being drenched!
As for tomorrows happenings, I hope to tweet throughout the day. I am not going to make ANY guarantees about this but as long as im able to safely tweet I will make every attempt to do so.
