As a kayaker and a cyclist in NYC I have access to maps for the NYC Water Trail and NYC Cycling Routes. NYC has strong German foundations and offers some great German food and drink yet there’s no official NYC Oktoberfest Trail. So…I thought it would be fun to create one! Without further ado, here’s the (un)Official NYC Oktoberfest Trail, loaded with German inspired restaurants and drinking halls!

Some of these stops are on the small side while many are larger capacity establishments. This time of year most will draw significant crowds so be prepared to skip past your first choice. Zum Schneider, for instance, will commonly have a wait of 1-2 hours. Many other places, like Radegast Hall, are usually busy but rarely have a wait for entry. Both offer top notch German fare. Think I missed an establishment worthy of inclusion? Fire off suggestions in the comments below!
As always, please drink responsibly.
