Breaking News: A US Airways flight 1549 has crashed into the Hudson River in NYC. As of now all 5 crew members and 148 passengers have been rescued. Passengers are receiving medical attention for exposure to the icy Hudson river water and shock from the incident.

Shortly after takeoff the plane suffered multiple engine bird strikes which was the cause of the crash. The pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft and safely land the plane in the water. “It was like the river was a runway” said one witness. Emergency personnel responded quickly along with nearby ferries.
