  1. If you think another Google service deserves a button/tab let me know. You may just see it appear in a future release!

  2. Great add-on first of all.

One thing I wanted to note: I have two Gmail accounts added to Thunderbird: one work, one personal.

The Calendar tab seems to be defaulting to my personal account and I’d like to switch it to the work account.

From what I can tell there’s no way to “Sign out” within the tab. When I do click “Sign out”, it opens a browser window, but doesn’t affect the tab at all (nor did it allow me to change the user name when I first logged in).

Also, looks like the Tasks sidebar isn’t displaying correctly, can you open that up so task lists can be managed there as well?

    Nicholas,

To logout of your google account while logged in via a thunderbird tab you must manually manage the cookie set during login. You can access the cookie by going to Tools>Options>Security>Show Cookies. Remove the appropriate cookie to logout of the Google account.

I am investigating the issue with calendar tasks but I suspect it has to do with the limited support for content within thunderbird tabs.

Another issue which can not be fixed at this time is that when logged into Google Voice you are not able to listen to the audio of a voicemail. All other Google Voice features function properly.

Thank you for using Google Hub!

I really like the add-on. Good work.

It seems as though the problem with tasks in a tb tab is a result of limited content support by thunderbird. I’m still investigating the issue and if I find a solution I will post details or update the addon.

  4. Does the hub work with Google Apps? If so, how?

Currently the only way to do this would be to modify the links directly in the add-on and repackage it. I plan to add the ability to customize service links via add-on options sometime in the future. Once this feature is implemented it will allow you to use google apps. I do not, however, have an ETA for implementing this.

I have written a version of Google Hub — Google Hub Pro — which supports Google apps. You can find it here: http://www.schiffner.com/index.php/software/google-hub-pro/

  6. I love this add-on. Google Talk perhaps? I don’t know if it’d work via: http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client

I’ll look into it. If you find the add-on useful dont hesitate to make a small donation or purchase the pro version ;-)
