iPhone 2.2.1 Released

Apple quietly released iPhone OS 2.2.1 Tuesday afternoon. This version has no new features and is purely a maintenance release. bug fixes include: improvements safari stability, fixes a bug where images saved from the mail app would not display properly on the cameras roll.

While increased Safari stability is accepted with open arms, the inclusion of flash would be greatly appreciated. One still has to wonder where copy and paste are in addition to the push service for virtual background applications (as promised in September 2008). Another widely requested feature is true turn-by-turn gps navigation for the maps app.

And so the wait continues…

  1. I could’ve used copy and paste last night on a tracking number and it made me sad ;-(
