Whats the deal QVC?
My mom has had a Sharp upright vacuum cleaner for 10+ years now and the vacuum is finally kicking the bucket. When trying to buy a similar vacuum we found out that sharp has discontinued all vacuum cleaners. We decided to scour the internet in search of old Sharp stock. We found a similar vacuum to the one needing replacement on QVC’s website. We placed an order for the vacuum, which is listed as being in stock. After a week went by we received a letter via US mail that informed us the item was back ordered and the order would be canceled. I checked the order status and sure enough the order was listed as ‘backordered-cancelled’.
We decided to check their site to see if we would want another vacuum cleaner. Surprisingly the same vacuum was listed as being available. I figured they located more stock so I reordered the vacuum only to have the same cancellation occur 3 days later. A week later we received a notice via US mail. Now, the vacuum is still listed on their website and i placed a third order. This one will surely suffer the same slow death known as cancellation. Im sure they will mail us another letter. I do not understand why they still have the vacuum listed since it is clearly not available. I’m not much of a TV shopping network fan, but as far as these stores go QVC has a fairly good reputation.
Since QVC is so fond of mailing us the cancellation notices, I believe I will continue to place orders until 1) they located the stocl. 2) they take the vacuum off the website. 3) they spend $195 in postage mailing us cancellation notices. (the vacuum costs $195)

Its more the principal. Why are they listing a product on their website that hasn’t been available for over a month?
